Animal Rescue par Nikolas Wagner
Commentaires du jury
"Impressionnant pour le niveau primaire ! Scénario très fort et usage d'effets spéciaux impressionnant!"
"Good skills! Exceptional imagination and heart come through the screen. Narrative plotting is connected and progressive. Impressive shot design and sound design -- most notably the binocular POV! Wonderful sets and emotional storytelling woven together for an entertaining watch from beginning to end."
Primary School: 2nd Place
Circle of Life par August Gruntovski da Mota
Commentaires du jury
"Coup de coeur pour l'histoire.!"
"A beautifully mature and philosophical story for such a young artist. Strong narrative instincts shown in the details and nuances of the story: the way the caterpillar grows, interesting animal design and colour choices, layers of storytelling within the wide frames, intuitive use of the "rule of three" (progressive build of the story), and the bold choice to present the final animal as a grand shadow. "

Visite sur la lune par Louis Dutil, Antoine Belley, Liam Diep, Loïc Franche et Nathan Charbonneau
Commentaires du jury
"Très grande créativité. Cela me rappelle Le voyage dans la lune de George Melies."
"An impressive full production! The cinematography is noteworthy, especially the shot design as they begin their journey from earth to space and the ensemble blocking (once they meet the aliens and discuss their extraterrestrial plans)."
Junior High School: 2nd Place
Inspiration par Mei Bylsma, Elena Cortés et Mabinti Bangoura
Commentaires du jury
"Sympathique, simple et bien fait."
"Great film making. I've always been a fan of Claymation. Fun to watch it evolve and shape change. Would like some music but I also enjoyed the sound effects of it evolving so the silence is probably a good choice."

842 par Malik Bouthillier, Félix Gaumond, Olivier Giguère, Daphnée Jeanotte
Commentaires du jury
"Super mise en scène et utilisation du langage cinématographique ! "
"These young filmmakers have instincts way beyond their years. I was impressed by every choice from beginning to end including: sophisticated editorial techniques like pre-lapping audio over black, artistic framing and intentional cinematography (including where the camera is placed in every scene, and when/ how it moves), all the POV shots, tonally effective lighting design including the flickering lights, the narrative tension immediately established and intensifies, the visceral jump scares, and the detailing of paranormal activity including the choice of diegetic music to non-diegetic score that close the film. Overall nailed the tone and excellently told the story."

Les heures perdues
Commentaires du jury
"Réalisation impressionnante et sujet très touchant !"
"A very special directorial voice and group of storytellers. The collaboration from all the artists involved is felt on screen from the poignant writing, to the cinematography and deliberate approach to the shot design, the realistic performances, and the stylized editing instincts -- all of which felt grounded in character rather than just technically showing off! I loved the dream sequences and non linear storytelling, including the mixed format claymation and black void with dad. What I noticed immediately was the directors confidence to practice restraint and linger in quiet moments to allow for the characters emotion to come through. It reminded me of Aftersun by Charlotte Wells, a beautiful film of the same language."
